The RCC 5-Step Roofing Process: How Every Job Works
5 Step Roofing Process: How RCC Approaches Every Job
Every RCC engagement follows the same sequence — regardless of whether it ends in maintenance, repair, or replacement. That sequence is designed to make sure you have complete information before any decision is made, and that every step of the work is documented.
Step 1: Thorough Roof Inspection by Roof Concepts Construction
We get on the roof. Every slope, every penetration, every transition. Full-resolution photos of every finding. For storm damage, the RCC Forensic Damage Assessment builds a 14-section report using the 4-D standard with NOAA and EWI weather corroboration. For standard condition assessments, you get a written finding with photos. You keep this documentation regardless of outcome — it’s yours.
Step 2: Honest Recommendation
Maintenance, repair, or replacement — in that order of preference. We recommend the minimum intervention that addresses the problem. A roof with 8 years of life remaining and a failed pipe boot needs a pipe boot replacement, not a replacement. We document why we’re recommending what we’re recommending and show you the findings that support it.
Step 3: Scope and Price
Written scope of work with fixed pricing before any work begins. Contingencies for discovered conditions — decking damage, for example — are documented and shown to you before the scope changes. No surprises after the work starts.
Step 4: Installation
Hand-nailed. 2×4 drip edge. Complete gutter detach-and-reset on full replacements. EPDM rubber-gasketed flashings with screw fasteners. These aren’t job-specific options — they’re the RCC standard on every job.
Step 5: Documentation and Protection
Final photos documenting the completed installation. Your job file with before-and-after documentation. $30,000 Directorii deposit protection on every job — your deposit is guaranteed before we start.
